Stephan Reed
Position: Head Lighting Designer
Stephan gained an interested in Production early on. He went on to study Professional Sound and Video at Salford University, graduating as Valedictorian.
He worked at the Theatre Royal in Plymouth for 4 years as a stage electrician, working on shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Martin Guerre and Oliver (Cameron McKintosh) and with companies like The Royal Shakespeare, Glynbourne Opera, Rambert Dance and the National Opera.
In 1998 he moved to Hong Kong to work for a US based company as a production manager and lighting designer. He worked on a range of projects including live-to-air TV Shows in Hong Kong and China, Exhibitions and Corporate events throughout Asia and the USA. He worked on several high-profile events in China including the APEC summit in Shanghai and TV shows for both Shanghai and Phoenix Television, and corporate events in Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and China.
He completed additional training in Las Vegas for rigging, truss design and CM motors
In 2004 he transferred to an Australian owned production house in Hong Kong, as department head of International production. He worked on a wide range of events including prominent fashion shows, large-scale concerts and corporate events, providing local and regional production management for many touring artists including Mariah Carey, Linkin Park, The Black Eyed Peas, Pussy Cat Dolls, Dionne Warwick, Sergio Mendez, Blondie, The Stereophonics and the Manic Street Preachers.
